Jack & Jill of America
About Jack & Jill
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of mothers with children ages 2 to 19, committed to nurturing future leaders by promoting youth development, volunteer service, philanthropy, and civic engagement.
The Waco Chapter, part of the South Central Region, was chartered in the fall of 1955 when a group of sixteen mothers recognized the need to strengthen the Waco community by creating an organization focused on unifying Black families and fostering cultural, civic, religious, and educational activities for Black youth.
Officially established in the fall of 1956, the Waco Chapter has since grown to serve families across a broader area, encompassing McLennan, Hill, Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Limestone, and Falls counties.
Key cities served by the chapter include Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, McGregor, Robinson, Lorena, Mart, Bellmead, West, Marlin, Killeen, Temple, Belton, Hubbard, Mexia, Groesbeck, Clifton, Meridian, Hillsboro, Gatesville, Whitney, and Harker Heights.
